This is Public Health Picture

This fire alarm is found in the house that I live in.  I live in a sorority house in Athens, Georgia, which also houses about 60 other girls.  I chose to take a picture of the fire alarm because I think it is very important to all people in their everyday lives.  This is an example of public heath because it benefits more that just a single person; it benefits the entire community.  All homes and businesses are required to have fire alarms and fire extinguishers, which is a huge step in public health.  This helps save many lives, and it prevents traumatic events from occurring.  Last night, my house had a fire drill, which made me think of choosing a fire alarm as an example of public health.  It is important for others to consider this an example of public health because it has an impact on everyone’s life.  If you go into a restaurant, business, or someone else’s house, you want to be assured that if there were a fire, you would be protected.
