This is a picture I took donwtown. I selected it because it is an effort to keep the Athens community air cleaner. I think that it qualifies as public health because it was funded by the city of Athens and they have these posted on every block to help smokers dispose of their cigarettes to avoid littering and hopefully encourage people to put their cigarettes out in large groups in order to prevent the harms of second hand smoke. I think these are very effective efforts to promote public health
