This is Public Health
This is a waste bag dispenser for animal waste in the area around my apartment in Brookhaven, GA. This is an example of public health because not only does it serve as a reminder to clean up after your animal, it provides a free medium to go about cleaning up after them. Allowing animal waste in public areas, where children play, can cause spread of disease and is also unsightly to the surrounding community. This example was chosen because it is a convenient way to remind people stay responsible in regards to their animal. The "Puppy Pouches" help to keep the surrounding environment cleaner and helps to reduce the spread of diseases related to animal waste. This is important for others to consider public health so that we do not lose track of common social responsibility and reduce, albeit not in a major way, possible spread of disease.
